Tailgate Mounted Bike Rack Recommendation for 2009 GMC Sierra

Question:
Do you know of any simple bike rack that simply mounts over the top of the tailgate with arms outward to hold the bike or boxes. Like a simple automobile bike rack with appropriate straps and hooks?

The closest bike rack to what you described is the Thule Insta-Gator part # TH93VR that you referenced. It installs by using straps that clamp between the tailgate hinge and the truck bed like you mentioned being interested in.
