2 Inch Hitch Ball Recommendation for B&W 16K Heavy-Duty Ball Mount
Question:
Will this tow ball work on the B and W heavy duty ball mount #BWBMHD30012? Thanks

Expert Reply:
The B&W ball mount # BWBMHD30012 requires a ball with a 1-1/4 inch diameter shank. Ball # BWTS10051 does indeed have a 1-1/4 inch shank so it can be inserted in the ball mount. However it was designed as a replacement for a pintle/ball combo hitch and would only be rated for 10,000 pounds in that application. it also hasn't been tested in a regular ball mount.
For a regular hitch ball I recommend # A-90. It is rated for 10,000 pounds also. The selection of 2 inch diameter balls with 1-1/4 inch shanks is very limited.
