Could CE Smith Guide Ons Install on Boat Trailer with Fenders that Extend to Back of Trailer
Published 10/26/2016 >
Question:
I own a 2014 Bass Tracker TX-190 with a Tracker Marine trailer. The trailer has a 10inch galvanized step from the wheel to the end of the trailer. I would like to install the PVC style guide post but see no feasible way to install them. In addition the rear cross member in slightly curved in the middle coming up to the sides.

It sounds like you'll need to do some fab work in order to get the guide-ons to work. I believe your best bet would be to eliminate the u-bolts and have the brackets welded to the top or the underside of the frame member. If the fender step doesn't extend more than 13 inches from the side of the frame member, you can mount to the underside of the frame and the upright portion of the guide-on will clear the step. Otherwise, you'd need to attach to the top of the frame member.
