Expert Reply:
First, for a trailer hitch, for your 2014 Buick Encore is the Curt # C11527. This is a Class I hitch so it will be compatible with some hitch mounted cargo carriers. It will not work with the Yakima EXO # Y62VR because this carrier requires a class III hitch or above.
There are no enclosed carriers that will work with a class I hitch. Instead, I recommend the 19 X 47 flat Curt Cargo Carrier # C18110 You will need to determine the weight capacity of your vehicle and make sure that the 30 lb weight of the carrier and the cargo stays under your weight capacity. Your hitch has a weight capacity of 200 pounds. You will need to go with the lowest limit between your carrier and your vehicle.
