Question:
I have a Goose neck conversion on my 5th Wheel, will the 5th Airborne work with the conversion?
asked by: Eric
Expert Reply:
No, the Air Ride couplers such as a 5th Airborne or TrailAir are not compatible with 5th wheel to goose neck adapters that attach to the trailer.
What I recommend is a Reese Goose Box. There are 2 Goose Boxes and they fit in place of different pin boxes.
# RP85FR fits Lippert 1621, and 1621HD pin boxes and has a 20,000 pound capacity
# RP94716-61301 fits Lippert 0115, 1116 and 1716 pin boxes and is rated for 20,000 pounds as well.
If you do not have one of the above mentioned pin boxes let me know what the factory pin box manufacturer and model number is and I can make other recommendations.
