I have a Hidden Hitch that I took off of an ML320 and i have reinstalled it on a 2003 ML350 I need to wire it in and I am concerned about hard wiring it in to the tail lights with splices etc. The manual says that this c

The 2003 Mercedes ML350 does require a powered converter, so you will need to use 4 Pole Harness and Hardwire Kit, # C59496. This kit includes all of the parts needed to install the wiring on your vehicle, along with a circuit tester to find the correct circuits to which you will splice the wires. The wiring for your vehicle requires that a separate power wire (the red wire on the converter box) be ran to the positive post of the battery through an in-line fuse to protect the vehicles sensitive circuitry.
I have included a link to the installation details below. Make sure you pay special attention to the 2 wire versus 3 wire steps in the instructions, and wire your vehicle accordingly so that the harness will function properly.
