Question:

2015 Ford Escape 3inch hitch. Trying to decide between the 2 racks. Transfer seems to have more bounce/seat in the videos

The Kuat Sherpa # SH22G is about 15 lbs lighter than the Kuat Transfer part # KU74FR but the biggest thing that I really like about the Sherpa is what you already mentioned. It is rock solid when traveling. There is little to no movement of the rack with bikes loaded when you hit bumps as you noted in the test course videos for both which I attached as well.

I've watches quite a few test course videos and nearly every rack has at least a little bit of movement. The Sherpa has almost none.

Aside from that the Sherpa has more refined levers, straps and frame arms.
