Will Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System Work Well On Small Custom Utility Trailer

Re: Timbren no axle suspension systems. I have a smallish dual axle enclosed trailer that is in need of a new suspension. The trailer frame is strong, solid and rust free. The 20 + year old custom and non standard length axles need replacement. Since I already have very recent sets 3500 lb Dexter self adjusting drum brakes, 5 X 4.50 wheels and tires it looks like a pair of your PN ASR3500SO4 3500lb with 4inch drop would be the easiest fitment. My question concerns the progressiveness of the rubber springs. Since I carry relatively light loads the trailer will most often only see a gross weight trailer + load of only 4,000lbs. The absolute max would be about 5,000 lbs if I were to carry a sub compact sized classic car. Nothing bigger fits inside! How do these rubber springs work with much lower than maximum loads? Will the still allow the trailer to ride smoothly or will they be too stiff? Thanks,

With the trailer towing up to 5,000-lbs you can replace both axles on your trailer with 2 sets of the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System, part # ASR3500S04, and they will be more than sufficient. The system is designed to make the ride much smoother regardless whether you are hauling a load or not.

The progressive springs get stiffer as more weight is added but are always engaged to reduce rattle and bottoming out. The axle-less system does come with a 4-bolt brake flange installed so you should be good to go.
