Question:
Hi I just purchased a 8 1/2 foot X 27foot enclosed snowmobile trailer. I am considering 2 full lengths of E-Track, spaced equally, for tie downs on the floor. My concerns are will the ski carbides damage the E-Track and/or will the E-Track damage the carbides? also will the track studs picks damage the E-Track and/or will the E-Track damage the track studs and/or track? There will not be any way to prevent both from happening. Thank you for input, thoughts and ideas.

From what I understand about snowmobiles, and please correct me if I am wrong because I have little knowledge on them, the carbides are the part the skis attach to. Is that correct? I am not sure how the E-track or the carbides would come into contact with each other. But if they did then it would be possible for one to scratch the other.
To avoid that you could use 3 lengths of tracks; one on the far left side and one on the far right with one in the center between the snowmobiles so that the E-tracks are spaced wider than the width of the snowmobiles.
Once the tracks are installed you can use D-Rings # 59131 that mount to the E-Track and create nice tie down points for straps.
