Will Thule T2 Classic Fit a Class I Draw Tite Hitch

Published 09/09/2016

Question:

Hello, I have a Draw-Tite Class 1 hitch installed on a 2006 Nissan Altima. We are interested in acquiring the Thule Classic 2 bike rack for our car. The problem... On the inside of our hitch receiver, there is a divot that will prevent a Class 2 hitch from being ed even though Class 1 and 2 hitches are both 1.25 inches. We have an older Thule bike rack that presently fits into our Draw-Tite hitch receiver due to a small cutout in the bike rack hitch end. The cutout is made to go around the divot in the hitch receiver. When I look at pictures on your website of the Thule Classic 2 bike rack, the hitch end does not appear to have a cutout that would go around this interior divot in the Draw-Tite hitch receiver. Are the pictures correct or just representative of what a 1.25inch hitch looks like? Thanks in Advance for your help!

The Thule T2 Classic part # TH9045 is confirmed as a fit for Class I hitches like the Draw Tite hitch you have installed on your 2006 Nissan Altima. You may not be able to see the cut out in the shank of the hitch but I can assure that it is there and the hitch would work well for you.

In the review video I attached it shows the bike rack being installed in a Class I hitch.
