Troubleshooting Trailer Light Assembly that Doesn't Get Brighter with Blinker/Stop Light

Expert Reply:
Sounds like the brighter stoplight/turn signal function of your taillight isn't working.
This is typically caused by the running light circuit of the trailer wiring being ran to the stop/turn circuit of the light wiring. Make sure the stop/turn circuit is ran to the green wire (if you have the STL8RB) and not the brown wire which would be the running light circuit.
Also verify that the stop/turn circuit is making it back to the assembly and that a short isn't taking preventing the circuit from making it to the light.
