Question:
I have 2013 Ford explorer that does not have OEM wiring. I would like to install the HM40975 to have 4 and 7 wire capability. I really would like this to be a plug and play type connection. I can not locate a harness that has the vehicle connection and the plug to plug in straight into this Mount? In fact if I could find this then I would probably purchase one for the Explorer and one for my pickup, 2003 GMC Sierra, which has the 7 pin connector. Can you shine some light on this, I really do not want to use any crimp on connectors for the wiring, but if I have to then I will.

If your 2013 Ford Explorer has the trailer wiring (it should) it would be located under the passenger side rear fender. If you check out the install video I attached you can see our installer point it out at the 16 second mark.
To install a 7-way you would want the part # C56278. This will require you to wire everything to the pins of the connector. Or you could wire everything to the part # HM40975-11998 instead and have the 7-way and 4-way you wanted.
You will have to use butt connectors like the part # 05731-5.
