To determine what size brake assemblies you have you can measure the diameter of the mounted brake shoes on the trailer or measure the inside diameter of the brake drum. I am including pictures of where to measure on the brake assembly and the brake drum. You will also want to measure the width of the brake shoe lining to get the correct width brake assembly.
You will want to get the bolt pattern of the brake mounting flange on your axle and if it is a 4-bolt flange or a 5-bolt flange. Also, if you get the weight capacity of the axles on your trailer it will help you determine brake size. All of this information will help you get the correct brake assemblies for your trailer.
It is recommended to change both of the brake assemblies on the axle at the same time so that the brakes are both operating the same. If you mix old and new parts the braking may be different from side to side and cause problems.
If you want to get back to me with that information I will be glad to help you get the correct brake assemblies for your AirStream Excella.
