Constant Power on Blue Trailer Brake Wire After Installing 7-Way on 2012 Nissan Frontier

Question:
I HAVE A CURT TRAILER WIRE C56226 THAT PLUGGED RIGHT IN TO MY 2012 FRONTIER BUT THE BLUE TRAILER BRAKE HAS A CONSTANT 14VOLTS GOING TO IT. MAYBE THE RELAY IS NOT WIRED RIGHT?

Expert Reply:
On wiring harness # C56226 the larger brown relay is for the 12 volt circuit on the 7-Way and the two smaller blue relays are for the turn signal circuits so none of them would cause the constant power draw on the blue brake wire but I think I know what the problem is.
On some Nissan vehicles the connectors where the 7-Way plugs in are wired differently than on other Nissan vehicles. To fix the issue you can swap the blue and black wires on the harness that plugs into the vehicle.

Can someone please be more specific about HOW you get the blue and black wires out of the plug to switch them. I cannot figure it out and I don't want to break the plug.
