Replacement ST205/65-10 Trailer Tires for Pontoon Boat Trailer

Updated 07/14/2016 | Published 07/13/2016

Question:

I have a pontoon boat with 20.5x8-10 load range F tires that have a 1650 lb @ 105 psi rating. I am looking at your Kenda tire and wheel combo, but it is a load range E with 1650 lb @ 90psi. What is the difference between the two, and Will the work ? Thanks.

Helpful Expert Reply:

The metric size designation for your pontoon trailer's 20.5 x 8-10 tires is 205/65-10. In this size Kenda offers both galvanized and white wheel options in both 4-on-4 and 5-on-4-1/2 wheel bolt patterns with Load Range E bias ply tires. All are shown on the linked page.

Since these all have the same 1650-lb capacity as your current tires they will be suitable replacements for your Load Range F tires. What matters is the weight rating. Always keep these trailer tires inflated to their rated 90-psi cold tire pressure. Trailer tires can meet their weight rating only when fully inflated.
