Question:
If I was trying to use one of these to load my Kayak up to rooftop- What if I am using the Thule Hul-a-Port Kayay J-bars.. Do you think I would be able to lift it up enough to get it up and into the j-bar? I would most likely have /use a step stool- I have a Honda CRV- small SUV- so its a little higher than a car- I am 5 ft 7 in.. and have strong upper body- but bad lower back.. So thats why I am considering the side loader.. Thoughts??

The Rhino-Rack Universal Load Assist # RR-RUSL would work for you to help you get your kayak up into your Thule HullaPort part # TH834. It will allow you to set the kayak on the load assist and then use it as a pivot point to get the other end into the carrier.
I attached a review video for this product for you to check out as well.
