Question:

I just measured the width of the frame on my Forest River 5th wheel. It measures 72and 3/4 wide from out side to out side. Will this hitch fit on it? Please advise. Thanks

The Curt Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13703 may still work for your 5th wheel, but it cannot be installed on the outside of your Forest River's frame since it is too wide. I recommend measuring the inside-to-inside width of the trailer frame to see if this distance is less than 72 inches. If you find the inside-to-inside width of your camper's frame to be less than 72 inches, the # 13703 hitch will work well for you.

The # 13703 has a somewhat custom installation that can be adapted to work best for your application. I have attached the installation instructions for the Adjustable Hitch for you.

Keep in mind that all non-trailer loads, such as bike racks or cargo carriers, should be used with a stability strap # 18050 in order to comply with the manufacturer's warranty.
