Derale Transmission Pan Cooler # D14210 for Dodge trucks with the A518, A618 or A727 transmission has a larger capacity than the stock one and has turbulator tubes allow air to flow through to dissipate heat for better cooling. Derale estimates that this cooler can reduce the transmission fluid temperature by as much as 20 to 50 degrees but I would say around 20 is a safe bet.

This type of cooler will help with the fluid temperature but a supplemental cooler, # D13504, will be a better choice for towing. And you could use both the pan and this supplemental cooler if you wanted to because transmission fluid cannot be overcooled.

To avoid having to cut and flare lines to install a supplemental cooler you can use fitting # D13034 if the vehicle uses 9/16"-24 thread SAE fittings or fitting # HH41413 for OEM custom fittings.
