Question:
I have been using torsion axles on boat trailers for years but am building another small sail boat trailer and considering using the Timbren system so I can get the load as low as possible for easier launching. How well does the Timbren hold up vs a Torsion axle It seems like a better deal considering the bumper/air spring can be replaced etc? your input is genuinely appreciated Thank you

I recommend the Timbren Axle-Less Suspension System # ASR2000S01 over a torsion axle for your trailer for a few reasons. First, the Timbren System increases ground clearance without increasing your trailer height. The Timbren System is also easier to replace as you can replace one spring at a time. They also operate independently of one another to minimize bounce for a smoother ride compared to the torsion axle system.
An E-Z lube spindle is included with the system, but a Trailer Hub assembly will be needed.
For a Hub, I recommend the etrailer Idler Hub Assembly for 2,000 E-Z Lube Axles # AKIHUB-440-2-EZ-2K. This will work with 4 on 4 bolt wheels. If you have 5 on 4-1/2 bolt wheels you will need the Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 2,000 E-Z Lube Axles # AKIHUB-545-2-EZ-2K.
I attached installation instructions for the Timbren Suspension System and I attached a help article for how to figure out the bolt pattern of your wheels.
