Determining Offset for 12 X 4 Spare Wheel for Triton Snowmobile Trailer
Published 06/13/2016 >
Question:
Hello, I am emailing to see if you could recommend me a wheel for my 16ft triton elite snowmobile trailer with 12x4 5 bolt wheels. I have been looking on your website and from what I see all the wheels rated at 1520 lbs. have an offset. I have tried contacting triton and have not received a reply from them whether the stock wheels have any offset. I just purchased 2 tires from you and now need 1 wheel. I was hoping you would maybe know some about their wheels. What would you suggest? Thank you,

The best thing to do is check a current wheel on your trailer for offset. To determine if your trailer wheels have an offset, remove a wheel from your trailer and measure from the mounting surface of the wheel (where the wheel mounts to the hub) to the inside and outside beads. The difference between these two measurements is the offset. Trailer wheels usually have zero offset, meaning that the rim of a trailer wheel lines up directly under the center of the wheel.
We offer a variety of wheels, I really like this one that meets your weight capacity. The aluminum HWT # AM22319HWT 12x4 5 on 4-1/2 split spoke silver wheel has a zero offset and a capacity of 1,520lbs.
Let me know if you find an offset and take a look at the bolt pattern Help Article I've attached. I want to make sure that the 5 on 4-1/2 is the correct bolt pattern for your Snowmobile trailer.
