Usable Length of Wesbar 787196 7-way to 5-Pole Flat Wiring Adapter Cable
Updated 06/03/2016 | Published 06/02/2016 >
Question:
It says that the 787196 coiled adapter cable can stretch to 8 feet but I have heard that the jacket on the cable is so tight that it has trouble stretching that far. How far will it stretch and comfortably be usable? Thanks,

Expert Reply:
The Wesbar Coiled 7-Way Adapter # 787196 measures about 11-inches long when not stretched, and 8-feet at absolute maximum. A comfortable length range for using this wiring item is 3 to 4 feet, which will avoid putting lots of tension on it. Keep in mind also that the cable is going to loosen up a little as you use it. It will naturally be more inclined to stretch in warmer weather than in cold.
