Question:
I ordered the Curt receiver C13272 and the wiring harness 56083 for my 2016 Lexus RX 350 and installed them with ease. Im not sure if my car has a factory tow package couldnt find it listed on my sticker but it did have the plug-in for the wiring harness connector. My problem is I have no power to the connectors. I read where Danny thinks someone elses problem, is that it may be missing a fuse or relay. My fuse box is located under the hood. Can anyone provide me with more information on the exact fuse location in the box or relay? I really would hate to take it to the dealer at this point. Thanks

I called my contact at Curt and asked about the installation of the wiring harness, part # 56083 on your RX 350. First you can call the dealership with the VIN and ask if it has a tow package. If so ask them where the fuses or relays may be. I did some research and was unable to find the relay or fuse location for towing.
PTW2993. Turn on the headlights and use the turn signals to make sure you are getting a signal.
If you do not show any power on that port, chances are the vehicle will need to be taken to the dealership and have the computer flashed to turn on the towing package. You can also ask the dealership if additional parts must be purchased to get the towing package to work on your vehicle.
There is an option that would let you avoid all of the other things mentioned and may save you trips to the dealer. You can install the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness, part # 119250KIT. This simply clamps around the wires you have on your vehicle and you attach the white ground wire to a clean bare metal surface and run the black hot lead wire to the positive battery post.
