Question:

Hello, I am trying to flat tow a new 2016 Jeep unlimited backcountry. The backcountry has a unique bumper with two tow hooks at the bottom of the bumper that are basically eyelits. I have a picture on my phone and could send it to one of your phones. I am trying to find a tow bar that could hook to the eyelits and of course my motorhome. Blue ox said they didnt have anything that would work and I would still need a base plate It seems so obvious that i just need a U of some kind with a pin and it would work. Any suggestions?

According to Blue Ox the 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Backcountry Bumper is the same as the Call of Duty Bumper. Which makes the # BX1133 base plate kit a perfect fit.

A great tow bar for this base plate kit is the Avail Tow Bar # BX7420. This tow bar will include the safety cables already and provide you with a improved turning radius offers better maneuverability for a safer, smoother ride.

Some other items to consider when flat towing are:

a Breaking system like # SM99251
a Wiring Kit for your Jeep # RM-152
a 6-way round vehicle end connector # PK12720
and possibly a High/low adapter, I have added a link of all our high/low adapters
