Question:
How is this mounted on BD183901? We have an older Bulldog 2 speed jack. Can this be attached to an older jack?

The Bulldog Powered-Drive Kit # BD1824180100 that you referenced is not compatible with landing gear like the Bulldog 2-Speed Jack, Traditional, 10,000 pounds # BD183901. My contact at Bulldog confirmed that there is not a motor kit available for the jacks with the triangular gear housing, like that on the # BD183901 landing gear jack.
To be compatible with a powered-drive kit, you will want to update your existing landing gear with either single speed landing gear or 2-speed landing gear that has a 4 inch square gear box on the outside, like the Bulldog 2-Speed Jack, Drop Leg with Non-Spring Return, Planetary, 10,000 pounds # BD183401 or the Bulldog 2-Speed Jack, Drop Leg with Spring Return, Planetary,10,000 pounds # BD183816.
The Powered-Drive Kit # BD1824180100 will work with planetary gears like # BD183401 and # BD183816. The powered-drive will limit the lift weight capacity of these 10,000 pound jacks to 7,500 pounds. Additionally, the powered-drive will operate one speed of the 2-speed jacks, but the manual crank will still allow you to use both speeds of the landing gear.
For a single speed jack, like the Bulldog Square Jack, 10,000 pound # BD182815 you can use the Bulldog Powered-Drive Kit for Single-Speed Jacks # BD1824200100. This powered-drive also has a lift capacity of 7,500 pounds that will limit the 10,000 pound lift capacity of the landing gear.
The installation instructions for both powered-drive kits are linked for you.
Either a single-speed or 2-speed landing gear set-up will work well for you, the best system for your trailer is really personal preference.
