Does Replacement Solera Power Awning Gas Strut Unscrew from the Two End Pieces

Question:
We need to replace one of the gas struts on our Solera power awning. Does the strut unscrew from the two end pieces? or is that it all one assembly - a dealer tried to give us a strut with threaded ends and told us it would scew into the ends where the pin goes through. Thanks.

I did some checking and it appears that the gas strut # LC260282 is held to the support arms with bolts, pins, or rivets that go through the eyelets at each end, see picture. It does not appear that the strut unscrews from those eyelets. The manufacturer was unable to provide a comprehensive method for replacement.
