Question:
is this the same hitch that would have been installed at the factory? 1998 Toyota 4Runner

Expert Reply:
The Draw-Tite # 75091 Class III trailer hitch was not the factory hitch on the 1998 Toyota 4Runner.
The Draw-Tite is a Class III trailer hitch that has a towing weight capacity of 5,000 lbs. and a tongue weight capacity of 500 lbs. It attaches to existing holes in the frame. If your vehicle has tow hooks, then the tow hooks do have to be removed to install the hitch.
For towing you will also need the Curt Ball Mount # C45010, the Pin and Clip, # PC3. The hitch ball will be either the 2 Inch Hitch Ball, # 19247, or the 1-7/8 Inch Hitch Ball, # 19260.
If you need a trailer connector at the rear of your vehicle you would use the Tekonsha T-One Wiring Harness, # 118341.
