Question:
Im looking for advice on a flush mount led light. I need something that can cast light for working 8-10 feet away. I would like to mount a pair of lights to the underside/inside of a toolbox lid. When the toolbox is open, I need it to cast a few feet of workable light past the tailgate. Ive tried looking at your lights, but there really isnt any way to guage that kind of performance. Thanks

I have several lighting options for you, but a trailer reverse light, like # BUL52CB that you mentioned, is not going to provide you with the light you are looking for.
To provide you with light at least 8 feet away, I recommend going with a utility/work light. For mounting flush inside the toolbox as you mentioned, the best option will be the Vision X LED Light Strip # XIL-SL12. This light has an effective lumen output of 300 lumens and is 12 inches long x 1 inch wide x 1/2 inch deep.
Another flush mount option is the Optronics Opti-Brite LED Interior Light # ILL08COB. This light has 8 LED diodes and the lens measures 16-1/2 inches long x 4 inches wide. I've attached a review video of this light for you.
To get the brightest, most concentrated light that can extend much beyond the 10 feet from the toolbox, a flood beam light is ideal. These lights aren't designed to mount flush like the light bar, but they will offer the brightest, most focused light for you. Great floodlight options are the Vision X Utility Market Floodlight # XIL-UF32 or the Optronics Opti-Bright LED Work Light # TLL48FB. I have attached test course videos on both of these lights for you to see these light's power. Either light will work well to provide you light at the back of your truck, especially while stationary.
You can find all of our utility/work lights on the linked page.
