need to replace a 4 wire hba-cam 381-7061 but can only find the new 2 wire controller. Will this work? please advise

It sounds like you have an older generation of the Carlisle Hydrastar brake actuatuator. The current # HBA-CAM would only be compatible with 6th generation and newer actuators. It wouldn't be a compatible replacement for your 381-7061.
The current 4 wire version is part 381-7063, but we do not offer it.
If you were to use an aftermarket brake controller that's compatible with electric over hydraulic braking systems like the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 # 90885, you wouldn't need the # HBA-CAM module.
