Question:
I have an older Yakima 2 bike rack. The holes for the hitch pin are two different sizes. The hitch pin I got with the hitch itself will not go through the Yakima rack. It will go through one hole and not the other. It is a 1.25inch hitch. Can you tell me the diameter of this locking hitch pin so I can determine if it will run through both my hitch and the Yakima rack that hooks up to it? If not, do you have another solution. Thanks!

The diameter of the pin on the Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock # e98879 is 1/2 inch.
I spoke with my contact at Yakima to learn more about your bike rack. The rack you have is a ROC 1.25. This bike rack is designed to use a threaded hitch bold. For a replacement threaded hitch bole you will want part # Y8890176. This is the hitch pin that is designed and recommend for use with the ROC bike rack.
