Question:
I need to install a 7 pin connector and brake controller on my 2013 Tacoma. I will be purchasing the ETBC7 installation kit along with the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller. I previously installed a 4 pin harness, so I believe I am set to go. Before I order the parts from you folks, I have a few questions. Would I need a plug-in adapter for the brake controller, or do I use the ETBC7 kit to wire direct to the controller? Would I need to configure an isolation relay to insure that the battery in my camper trailer does not drain my Tacomas battery when the ignition switch is turned off? Would appreciate any expert assistance you are able to provide. Thank you,

You are on the right track. To install a brake controller in your 2013 Toyota Tacoma will first require a 4-way like the part # C55513 and then the # ETBC7 to convert it to a 7-way so that you can install the # 90885 brake controller. There isn't an plug in adapter available for your truck.
To prevent the trailer from draining your truck battery you can unplug the trailer connector or you can install an isolation solenoid like part # PK5231201.
