Will Sidewinder Pin Box Still Help Even If It Doesnt Allow for Full 90 Degree Turn

Question:
Im looking to add a Reese sidewinder 61420 to my new 5th wheel camper. Ive done the recommended measurements and I have an issue: Distance from center of factory installed hitch jaws to back of the cab is only 25inch + 22inch length off sidewinder extension = 47 Width of trailer overhang is 97inch divided by 2 = 48.5 As you can see this does not give enough clearance for a full 90 degree turn. Any suggestions? Would this still increase my ability to turn sharply substantially? I have had someone look at my trucks hitch placement and moving it back is not an option. I still think this would be helpful with turns as now without anything in place it is very frustrating and dangerous!! no tight turns allowed!! Thanks

A Sidewinder like the part # RP34FR will be the best way to give you additional turning clearance, but like you measured and determined, you would not get the ability to make a 90 degree turn. You will still be able to make very tight turns, but just not to 90 degrees.
In nearly all trailering situations the ability to make a 90 degree turn is not needed. Getting very close with the Sidewinder should be just fine. Just be sure to remember that you can't go all the way to 90 degrees.
