Availability of a Road Bike Adapter for Yakima Raptor Aero Roof Mounted Bike Carrier, # Y02093

Question:

I had a Thule bike rack with road tire adapter # 853-5426 Now I have similar Yakima rack aero Raptor dont have or see a similar adapter, but straps seem about the same width. Do you know if the Thule adapter would fit??

I spoke with my contact at Yakima. They used to make a road bike adapter but they stopped making them. She stated that you will get the same effect when the strap, that holds the rear tire, is all the way back allowing for the strap to be around the upward slope of the rear tire when loading the bike on the Yakima Raptor Aero Roof Mounted Bike Carrier Y02093. I have included a link to the installation details for reference.

I then spoke with my contact at Thule. She stated that the strap that goes through the Replacement Road Bike Adapter, # 853-5426, is 13/16 of an inch wide.
