LED Tail Light Recommendations for a 1998 Jayco Eagle Pop-Up Camper

Updated 05/31/2025 | Published 03/18/2016

Question:

I own a 1998 Jayco Eagle pop up camper trailer and looking for the LED replacement for my blinker and brake lights for the right and left. The left side also needs the license plate holder. The current wrap-around light is over 10 and a half inches long by 4 inches tall. I noticed the 7 function led light you offer as a replacement may work but I need to know if the mount needs to be modified for the upgrade?

The Wesbar light # 271594 hangs on studs so it would not work in place of the lights on your Jayco trailer but I do have another recommendation.

Take a look at light # RVSTL61 for the left and # RVSTL60 for the right. These lights have mounting holes that are space 7-3/8 inches apart on center side to side and 2 inches on center top to bottom. If the lights you have now have the same mounting pattern these can be used though they do not have the same dimensions as the old lights.

We might! I'm not absolute certain what assemblies are used on the 1999 Jayco Eagle, though. Can you read any numbers or model information printed inside the existing light housing?

Do you still have those parts? When I searched for them I didn't see that exact model number for those tail lights.

@DerekR we do not. Wesbar is basically gone since First Brands took them over. We heard the lights would be coming back but that was several years ago so at this point I doubt it is happening. The best solution is complete replacement through another brand.
