What Surface Should the 60k Pintle Hook C48231 be Attached to Ensure Full Capacity

Question:
Does the manufacturing company have a stated minimum plate thickness they require to achieve their weight rating when bolting to a bumper/reinforced steel plate instead of a hitch mount plate? Thanks

Curt does not have a minimum plate thickness that they recommend for the # C48231 to ensure its full capacity, instead they recommend attaching it to a surface that is also rated for as much capacity as needed.
So, if the bumper/plate is rated for 60k as well then it would have its full capacity.
