The first thing to check on your 2015 Ford Explorer is if there is a dip stick for the transmission fluid. I say this because Ford and many other manufacturers started going to a sealed system that can only be opened with a special tool (that the dealer has). If you open the hood and see a cap on the tube where the dip stick would be then it is a closed system. They started doing that because people were using the wrong transmission fluid and damaging their transmissions.
If your Explorer has a closed system then installation of a cooler will need to be performed by the dealer or a mechanic that has the special tool.
If there is a dip stick for the transmission fluid then you can install a cooler such as # D13503 yourself. Installation will be basically the same as on the older Explorer in the video I have linked.
