Question:

We currently own a Thule Ascent 1600 roof cargo box. We recently purchased a different vehicle and want to put racks on it to accommodate the cargo box. The information Ive found is somewhat ambiguous about what kind of rack we need. Can you help me? Heres our info: Vehicle: 2015 Mercedes-Benz GL550 Cargo box: Ascent 1600 Thank you!!!

Great news! I was able to determine that the Thule Ascent 1600 fits the majority of standard size roof rack crossbars.

I recommend for your 2015 Mercedes-Benz GL550 the Thule WingBar crossbars using part # TH711400 in silver or # TH711420 in black along with the Evo raised rail feet # TH710401. This rack will mount on the factory rails that run from front to back on your vehicle already, and not only will they look great but they will be quieter due to their aerodynamic shape.
