Question:
I have a 2014 gmc sierra 1500 with a 69.3inch bed. Can I tow a fifth wheel? If so, what hitch do you recommend? My camper is a 2016 keystone cougar rls with an extended hitch.

You sure can tow a fifth wheel trailer with your 2014 Sierra. There are a couple options depending on the weight of your fifth wheel trailer.
If your fully-loaded-ready-to-tow trailer weight is under 13,000-lbs, I recommend the Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch, part # DM8550041. This hitch features 22-1/2 inches of travel so that you can execute tighter turns.
The Underbed Rail And Installation Kit for this fifth wheel hitch is part # DM8551005. With this kit installed, you have complete use of your truck bed when not towing.
If you prefer above-bed rails I recommend the Demco Hijacker Autoslide, part # DM8550040, and the above bed installation kit, part # DM8552009-71.
The other option is to install a fixed fifth wheel hitch, and then changed the pin box on your trailer to a Sidewinder.
The fixed fifth wheel hitch I recommend is part # RP30047. This is a 16,000 hitch and features a dual-jaw design.
The installation kit for this fifth wheel hitch is the Reese Quick-Install Custom Base Rails and Outboard Installation Kit, part # RP56007-53.
The Sidewinder pin box you need will depend on the pin box you have on your trailer. I have attached a link to our product page that lists the Sidewinders we offer. You can use the filter on the page to find the correct Sidewinder that will work for you. I have also attached a link to our helpful article that shows how to measure your pin box to make sure you get the correct replacement.
I recommend the Demco Autoslide system with the underbed installation kit. It may run a little more, but the benefit of a clean truck bed when not towing and not having to replace the pin box would seem to be worth it.
