Will a Curt Shank Work with a Pro Series RB3 Weight Distribution System
Published 01/28/2016 >
Question:
I need to buy a larger shank, the stock one that came with my sierra is too short now that my truck has a 7inch lift done. I was wondering exactly which shank i could get cause per the specs it says 2inch with the ProSeries RB3 kit and i would need about another 3-4 inches and trying to buy a new one today before we go to disney in march to get everything hooked up. I like this product, the C17121 because it says 8inch of drop . My Truck is a 2015 GMC Sierra 5inch lift and 35s with 5.3 tuned

The Pro Series RB3 weight distribution systems use what can be considered as a standard shank so you can use a different shank with the system. The included shank offers 1-1/2 inches of drop from top of hitch receiver opening to the ball platform.
Curt shank # C17121 will work but it offers up to 7-1/2 inches of drop on a round bar system from top of hitch receiver opening to the ball platform.
Shank # RP3344 offers up to 8-5/8 inches drop on a round bar system and can only be used in the drop position. I have included links to video reviews of both shanks for you.
