Recommendation for Replacement Jack Foot for a 5,000 Pound A-Frame Trailer Jack

Question:

I picked up my 16 ft. enclosed trailer in Jamestown, Kentucky this past August and is the case with many used item of its age the A frame jack is missing the wheel. I use this trailer for towing one of my two cars 1985 Porsche 928S or my 2012 Boss 302 Mustang which weighs in its stock condition approximately 3800 lbs. with the 928 at 3000 lbs. race ready. The empty trailer weight is approximately 2800 lbs.. In addition to the trailer and Porsches lb.weight a twenty gallon water tank, two 20 propane bottles, 8ea. five gallon gasoline dump type bottles and 3 ea. tire racks with a capacity of four race tires and wheels per rack. In addition a nine drawer tool chest on a 3 large drawer intermediate box on a five large drawer chest with a large storage opening in the bottom storing heavy body and fender working tools. E-track on all 3 walls to secure the tool chest combination, two bottles of compressed gas for the impacts, 4000 watt gas/propane driven generator and highly required and necessary items for any serious race effort. Just a note regarding my choice for an enclosed trailer and that was and will remain a one word answer SECURITY. My trailer Jack diameter is 2, will this fit my trailer tongue jack?

Sounds like your trailer's weight is too heavy to support the use of a jack caster wheel.

I would instead recommend the Pro Series Footplate # PS1400700340. This has a capacity of 5,000lbs and will fit the 2 inch jack tube diameter.

The Wide-Track Wheel Assembly for Fulton F2 # F500266 that you referenced would be a good choice if the jack you had a Fulton F2 A-frame jack # F1413250334. Since you do not have an A-frame F2 jack I would not recommend it for you, because it is specially designed to fit only those A-frame Fulton F2 jacks.

The replacement 6 inch Caster for 2 inch Diameter Bulldog Jacks # BD500245 would fit your jack, because this caster is designed to fit 2 inch outer jack tube. Wheel casters are typically recommended for lighter trailer setups and for what you are describing I would instead recommend the foot plate.
