Replacement Lid Hinge/Strut for a Thule Atlantis 2100 XT Cargo Box

I recently purchased the lifter hinge for my Atlantis 2100 XT. Unfortunately it does not support the top when I open it. The spring is not strong enough to hold it open. Did I get get a bad part or is it not designed for the Atlantis 2100 XT?

It sounds like you need hinge # TH14936 because it has a heavier internal spring than # TH14933. The heavier spring requires more pressure to close the box lid so that the lid will not fall down under its own weight. I have included links to a couple of videos on # TH14936 for you.
