Bolt Holes Not Lining Up for Torklift SuperTruss Hitch Extension
Published 01/19/2016 >
Question:
I installed extension according to directions and it would not come out of receiver . Got to looking and the holes in u-collars were drilled 3/8inch higher on one side than the other . 1/2inch bolt went in at angle thus not allowing bars to line up. What a pain, have you come across this problem ? Must have been built on a monday. Are these from China? What to do now?

We are not familiar with the problem you're describing on the TorkLift SuperTruss Hitch Extensions, # TLE1521. TorkLift makes their products here in the USA, but it is possible that your extension was made on a Monday.
I spoke with my contact at TorkLift about the issue you have experienced with your extension. She confirmed that when installing the extension, the bottom bolts should be tightened first, then the top bolts. If the top bolts are tightened first, this can cause the holes to not align properly.
If you tightened the bottom bolts down first and are still having issues with the hole alignment, please let me know and I will be happy to provide further troubleshooting steps.
