Question:
My wife gave me a set of the Roadmaster 68inch coiled safety cables to replace my 80inch coiled Blue Ox cables. The 68inch cables will reach my toad, but will be very taught with very little slack because of my down receiver. Will it hurt anything to be so tight? Or should I consider a pair of 8inch or 10inch extension cables?

Expert Reply:
As long as the cables have enough slack built into them so that you can make tight turns without issue the cables you have would work just fine. If they get so tight that the attachment points look strained or the cable is totally straightened (since it's coiled) it would be too short.
Otherwise we have an 80 inch Roadmaster coiled cable, part # RM-653.
