Question:

i am looking at the adjustable ball mount. i am wondering if that would help me in my sagging trailer problem or if i need to get the weight distribution and sway control setup. i dont have much money so tell me which one would help my jeep pull the load that i have to move comfortable. if i got the weight system then i would not need to jeep the jeep suspension mods from etrailer.

If your Jeep is sagging, an adjustable ball mount is probably not going to be the cure. The best thing would be to use a weight distribution system if you have a 2 inch hitch.

I see that you have ordered the Curt Class III hitch, part # 13044, from us and I assume that is what you have on your 2007 Liberty. This hitch cannot be used with a weight distribution system. It has a 500 pound tongue weight and 5,000 pound gross towing weight capacities. Since Curt does not provide a weight distribution capacity in the instructions, that means you cannot use a weight distribution system.

The second best solution would supplement the OEM Liberty suspension. I would recommend the Timbren SES Kit, part # TJRL4. This kit includes the mounting hardware and 2 rubber springs. These rubber springs go inside the factory coil springs and will add two more contact points between the frame and rear axle which will spread the weight out. By spreading the load, the factory springs will not compress as much and you should see most of the sag taken out. I have added a link to the kit and the instructions below.

If you are towing more than what the hitch/vehicle is capable of, neither a weight distribution system or a suspension system will solve your problem. Make sure the tongue weight of your trailer does not exceed the capacities of the hitch or the vehicle, whichever has the lower rating. Check your vehicle owner manual to see what your Liberty is rated to tow and make sure you do not exceed that figure.
