will this base plate fit a 2004 jeep cherokee ? I have it on a 1991 and would like to put it on a 2004 jeep cherokee.

In North America the 2004 Jeep Cherokee is actually referred to as the 2004 Jeep Liberty. Due to the design differences from the 1984-2001 Jeep Cherokee you will need a different base plate kit for the 2004 model.
All of our products are designed for the US market. If you have a 2004 Jeep Liberty the base plate kit number you would need is the Blue Ox # DM9518126.

In addition to base plates to properly flat tow a Liberty you would need wiring for the vehicle's taillights like # RM-152, a tow bar # DM9511012, a braking system # SM9925, and a wiring umbilical # RM-146-7.
