Installation of Demco Base Plates

do you have instructions on how to install. Can I do it or does it have to be done at a shop?

If you have a 1984-2001 Jeep Cherokee, a 1986-1992 Jeep Comanche or 1984-1990 Jeep Wagoneer then the Demco base plates, # DM9518010, will work for you.

While you could definitely install these on your own, they do have some items you have to cut and remove which you may prefer a shop to do.

The bumper fascia must be removed and replaced during installation, and requires some minor drilling, trimming of the air dam and removal of the steel belly pan that will remain off the vehicle after installation.

It's important to note that due to the design of the baseplate it does not fit Jeep's with the UpCountry suspension.

I have attached the installation instructions for you convenience, they may help you decide if you have all the tools necessary to complete the install on your own.
