Best Way to Convert 4-Pole Trailer Connector on 2014 Ford F-150 to a 7-Way Type
Question:
I am looking for the best wiring conversion kit to go from my 4pin factory plug to a 7 pin plug. Is there something that can plug into the factory wiring harness where the 4pin plugs into? It is a square plug.

I do have a solution for you to convert your factory 4-pole trailer connector to a 7-way RV-style type on your 2014 Ford F-150 but there is no plug-in harness that will connect where the 4-pole does. Instead you'll use our kit # ETBC7 which includes the 7-way socket, wiring, connectors, circuit breakers - everything you need to adapt the 4-pole to a 7-way with its additional circuits for brake power, 12V trailer power and reverse light signals. Just for reference, the linked photo shows you the functions on each pin and wire colors usually associated with each circuit.
The ETBC7 kit installs as shown in the linked video for a 2013 F-150. I also linked an article that covers the process.
We do offer adapter # 37185 (that is included in the ETBC7 kit) that will plug in to a 4-pole and provide those same three lighting circuits in a 7-way format but you will not have the additional circuits/functions unless you make the three other connections to the extra leads on it.
