Dimensions Of Camco Hitch-Mounted Flagpole Holder

Question:

Could you give the dimensions for this product? Want to know if you can put the tail gate down with it installed on a GMC 1500.

I went to the warehouse and took some measurements of the Camco Hitch-Mounted Flagpole Holder, part # CAM51611.

I have attached a photo of the CAM51611 with the dimensions noted. With the distance of 15-1/4 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the upright pipe that holds the flag pole I do not think you will have enough space to open the tailgate all the way.

This will hold flag poles up to 2 inches diameter.
