Best Replacement Wheel and Tire Combination for the B78-13ST Tires on my Boat Trailer

Question:

I am going to purchase 2 tire and wheel assemblies. My present tires are B78- 13ST load range C. I am looking at the 175-80 and 185-80 in load range D. As long as fender space is ok which would be the best replacement ? They will be supporting a HD Galvanized trailer and 18 ft. Terry bass boat w/ 90hp 4 stroke Yamaha.

I spoke with our in-house tire expert. Your best bet would be a 175-80. The wheel and tire combo you were looking at, part # AM31242 from Americana, should do just fine. It is a galvanized wheel, so it should hold up better in your marine application, and the ST175/80-D13 tire is the proper replacement size for your B78x13ST.
