To install the 3rd brake light and the dome light on your Leer canopy to your 2011 F-350 you will need to do a couple things.
First, there is a wire under the hood on the driver side that is blue and orange. You can tap into that for the brake light on your camper. You will need a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to test the wire and make sure it only shows power when the brake pedal is pressed.
To connect the dome light, you can do that a couple different ways. The best way in my opinion is to wire it directly to the battery on the truck and use a rocker switch like part # BL0108-00 to turn it on or off as you wish. The second way is to use the tester and locate a wire for the running lights and tap into that wire. The problem there is that the dome light will be on any time the running lights on the truck are on. Using the switch is the better option in my opinion.
When running the wiring you can use part # 12-1-1. This is 12-gauge wire that is sold by the foot.
