Question:

I put in grease seal 168233TB but still leaks grease would the spindle grease seal kit LM67048 BB60008 fit. I put the buddy bearings on too, seal O D 2.32 Seal I D 1.688

If you have installed the # 168233 grease seal and you have Bearing Buddies installed and it still leaks, you may have used too much grease and actually blown out the seal. Often times, we find that is the problem when folks are using Bearing Buddies.

You will need to check the dimensions of your hub and spindle to make sure you have the correct size. You can use a digital caliper like part # PTW80157 and get as accurate as possible measurement.

The inside diameter of the # 168233 that fits the spindle is 1.688 inches and the outside diameter that is the hub bore is 2.332 inches.

The dimensions of the seal with the # BB60008 are 1.875 inside diameter and 2.330 outside diameter, and are designed for 2.328 inch diameter hub bore. Check your inner bearing and if it is a # LM67048 bearing, the # BB60008 kit should work well for you.
